THESE RADIOS PERFORMED VERY WELL. I USE THEM BETWEEN VEHICLES WHILE TRAVELING. THEY HAVE BEEN IN USE OVER 10HRS AT A TIME WITHOUT ANY BATTERY CONCERNS. I HAVE NOT ACTUALLY TRIED THEM FOR EXTREME RANGE BUT FOR OUR PURPOSE THEY FUNCTION WELL AND ARE EASY TO USE.

I have owned many Cobra items, and these radios are also the best. They work great, and are very rugged. Remember these type radios are line of site. Working range can be what they say, and more if nothing is in that line of site. Real world in Towns, cities, Trees, and hills will only be say 1-4 miles.

I bought a pair of these radios and one of them didn’t last me a year. The display reads R X on it. Reading reviews on different sites I see that this is a common problem. None of the reviews say how to fix this problem.

What I like about this radio is that the controls are is to use and you don’t have to monitor the charging. It stops charging once its fully charged.

These radios worked just like they were supposed to. We boght them to use as we moved from TX to Colorado and would be driving through areas we had no cell coverage to communicate with each other. Easy to us and stay charged for a long time.

This is a good product. I have the older model which I have been using for nearly four year. I got a second set in the event my old one breaks down. Unfortunately one of the unit of my second set which I purchased a month ago is not working. I’ve done the allotted time for the initial battery charging, however, the unit does not want to turn on. :( I can’t return the unit because I am not in the US.
